Everyone has a bad day, and it was the last lunch here that was quite greasy, sparse & basically quite bad. Both the Reuben and the ‘Hot Pastrami’ were greasy and poorly prepared. Avoid these items and perhaps the other offerings may still be at least good. Very disappointing fare. This was previously a special little place, but now in the realm of only average at best …maybe better to go back to Marshland where the food is always good, more reasonably priced and predictable.31 Aug, 2011What a find. This little place has the freshest food. Everything is just about perfect with vegetables that are still alive! Sat outside for lunch the other day and enjoyed the food in the outdoors with sunshine spilling down. I hear that the breakfasts are just awesome as well.
Hidden treasure!. My daughter and I were on vacation last week and found the Cafe Chew by accident. We just happened to take the Sandwich exit and while turning around in the parking lot found this little gem. We were amazed by the vast menu and wide, wide selection. And those beautiful desserts that filled the case were as delicious as they were attractive. It was shame that I was only passing through and may not get back soon, but I will certainly brag about the Cafe Chew to friends traveling in the Cape Cod area.Wish that they’d consider a branch in my little resort towns of French Lick and West Baden Springs, IN. It’s be a surefire hit!
Classy-Casual & DEFINITELY YUMMY!. I went yesterday for the first time with my mom. We had a lovely lunch on one of the first days of summer (got to sit outside 🙂 I hope they do well because they really have quality food which is only made better with their causal/classy environment! Definitely try this place out when ur in the mood for some delicious sandwich, salad, or soup (p.s. – their soup was to die for … all homemade!) YUMMMYY19 Mar, 2010Classy-Causal & Definitely YUMMY!. WOW. Talk about good eats! Cafe Chew was amazing. The barista made a suggestion to modify my usual star*%$s order … and I am a changed man. I wish I had a Cafe Chew in Toronto! Until there is a franchise, I’ll have to be satisfied in knowing that Cape Cod has one more great reason to visit – in addition to my mom and dad!
Great Addition to the Sandwich Scene. In the interest of full disclosure, I know the owners of Cafe Chew, Tobin and Bob, who are well-known in Sandwich. Cafe Chew is their latest restaurant after having taken a few years off.It is a wonderful place to grab breakfast, lunch or a late afternoon coffee and pastry. I’ve had quite a few of their sandwiches and have loved everyone of them. Ditto for the salads. Though I’ve never tried their Cobb Salad, friends of mine swear it is the best Cobb on the Cape. And they know their Cobbs. They run several daily specials and will be serving dinner in the summer months when you can enjoy the patio outdoors. It’s become a wonderful meeting spot for all folks in town who were craving for an informal yet hip spot to meet and eat.
Highly recommend. We stopped at Cafe Chew on our way onto the Cape for a light dinner (soup/sandwich). And then again on our way home for lunch. Great place.
Can’t get enough of Chew!. I will make a special trip to eat at Chew or take out one of their incredibly delicious 30 plus sandwiches and paninis made from whole and organic foods. My favorite is The Merchant’s Square panini with fresh sliced chicken breast, smoked bacon, Gruyere cheese and tomato relish. But I would make the trip just for the incredible coffee, capuccinos, espressos and lates. Better than Starbucks, in my opinion. Bravo to the best Sandwich shop on Cape Cod.
