Overlooked food on a paper plate
Scallop and shrimp plate: only the scallops were worth eating shrimp dried out and chewy. Cole Slaw lacked any crunch of freshness, beans were watery and worse than canned if that is possible!
Over priced. If I wanted bad seafood, Id go to mcdonalds. but if I pay 28 dollars for a platter, I figure it should be good quality. I think ill stick to the local clam shacks were at least i get my moneys worth.
Plenty of menu choices and decent prices $8 sandwiches – $20 platters. We got a bowl(16oz) of lobster bisque for $7 and it was filled with lobster chunks and very flavorful. We also split a fried clam strip roll for $8.25 that had a good portion of strips. The fries were below average, but there are many other side options like slaw, beans, pilaf, hush puppies, mac’n’cheese. The atmosphere is casual. You order at the counter and take a cute lobster buzzer to tell you when your food is ready. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Outside is covered and has a water view. We would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite of quality seafood at a minimal price.
Good Lobster Roll. Just the sort of casual atmosphere for great New England seafood. Lobster roll had lots of large chunks of meat and was very flavorful.
Slams- just okay. Although this remains a popular restaurant, I just can’t give it a high rating. Sure, the clam strips are very good, but the fries are often limp and the rest of the seafood is well, just is ordinary.I wish they would ramp up their menu- why not put on a fish taco? The place often smells moldy- and there are certainly better seafood spots further up the Cape.
I like when it was a regular sit down restaurant better.. They went to a non waitress almost fast food type restaurant for seafood. The food is still good and the view is great of the canal & ocean. But I still prefer the way it use to be years ago. But that don’t stop me from going there it’s still a very good place to eat.
