The real thing!. OK…I lived in Florence for a year and I am a unabashed home-style Italian restaurant snob: very picky and hard to impress. This place is terrific.Don’t be put off by the location in a mini strip mall. Don’t be put off by the lack of designer flair (Me? I loved the photos on the walls, but they casual interior might lead idiots to think that the place is de dclass). Just sit down, order anything, and be happy that you are being fed serious Italian food prepared by a chef who gives a damn about what he is feeding his diners.Simple example: It’s hard to cook spinach in a restaurant that is just right without turning mushy and they served it up warm and just-wilted with gorgonzola and pancetta cubes. Not fussy. Not trendy. Just delicious and spot-on!Go. Eat.
Not too shabby.. Very good italian american food. delicious meatballs, nice fresh marinara sauce. I had the manicotti which were delicious. The antipasto was great too. overall was a very good experience, but the service was sloooooowwwww. Very friendly, but slooowwwww. We ate there early on a Friday evening just before the rush, so maybe they were busy preparing or something. Will definately go back.
