Deceptive. Order their burger, which is $14 and it’s OK, certainly nothing special. The waitress will then tell you your choices of cheese, but she won’t tell you that a slice of cheese is a $3 extra. Your bill with then be a $17 Burger before tax/tip, but there will be no explanation why the price changed to $17. This is particularly annoying in my case because they forgot to give me the $3 cheese and billed me for it.

I went in last Saturday night with six others, and we had William as our waiter. Well, my friends did. William went out of his way to ignore me. I sat there with a glass of melting ice while my friends were all half way done with their second round. Even when I called him by name he’d turn and walk away. I even complained about him on the way out and the staff seemed nonplussed. There are too many restaurants in Davis Square to have to tolerate such horrible service. We spent about three hundred dollars there that night. Lucky for him, I wasn’t leaving the tip.

Not impressed with brunch. I frequent Five Horses and have always been pleased with lunch/dinner/drinks. Went for brunch for the first time with two others and was not impressed. One of their specialty morning iced coffee cocktails had an odd taste to it (probably due to the balsamic drizzle) and if left long enough, curdled. I got the salmon breakfast – soft scrambled eggs, goat cheese, smoked salmon and salmon roe on an english muffin. It came out on a large plate, and I only got half of an english muffin with the eggs piled on top. For $14, they should serve it with fruit or potatoes or something, it was pretty pathetic, and presentation made it even more so. A friend got a breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, cheese and kale which came with a side. A breakfast hash was also ordered which my friend was pleased with. For the price of brunch, I would rather go someplace else and pay less for more (and just as good) food. Still enjoy lunch and dinner, just won’t be back for brunch.

Delicious drinks that are very original! Good food. Amazing tater tots! Definitely would go again

Great beer selection, nice staff. Good burger but great beer selection. All of the staffpeople we spoke with were nice – which is not always the case around this great city of Boston. Outdoor seating. Ample. nicely laid out dining room – multi-level/section. Kinda loud but such is the case when there is a beer menu w/ enticing offerings. Have only been to 1 other place in Somerville and am pretty unfamiliar w/ the area but chose this place randomly and would definitely return. 4 beers, 2 entrees, $40ish – not bad.

The mac & cheese was delicious with it’s blue cheese flavor, and the tater tots are awesome. The beer list is also impressive and rotates some excellent choices. But hands down, the best thing on the menu is the fried chicken sammy. It’s amazing!!
