Try the yak!. Great place! Loved it when I lived in Boston and I just went back during a visit. Must have the momos for appetizer. There is a very comforting cider and goat cheese drink – great on a cold night in winter. This place is a very unpretentious, competent purveyor of exotic Tibetan food. If you want a simple but delicious house-made meal, it’s worth the trip to Teele Square.
Heart attack. There is a very real possibility that my problem with House of Tibet Kitchen is that I just don’t like Tibetan food. It’s also possible that I ordered the only dish on the menu that was equal parts butter and starch. While I’m willing to accept that I just don’t care for Tibetan food, I’ve come to learn from other people that the butter/starch combo thing is big in Tibetan cuisine. Other than the style of food not being to my taste, House of Tibet is a very nice little restaurant with a courteous and attentive staff that I’d recommend to anyone without a history of heart problems.
