As a Bengali outside of Bengal…..or the US, this joint impressed me with some truly authentic and well made dishes from my region. The macher jhol and mochar ghonto was heavenly to me. The restaurant set up wasnt to talk much about and neither was the service while they were both acceptable. Bengalis in Boston that are missing bengali food must make at least one trip here to find out for themselves. Highly recommended
Had authentic bengali food in a restaurant probably for the first time. We ordered hilsa, spicy goat curry, aloo posto and luchi. Having bengali food several thousand miles away from home after months really excited me and almost everything tasted yummy.Another time we ordered aloo dam which was also good.The third time we went there, we had chicken kosa, shorshe maach(pabda), aloo bhaja, mishti doi. Everything was good except curd.
Try the Kasha Mangsho and Rui Maach…Delicious. I just recently went to this restaurant that used to be in Cambridge but now in Somerville. I ordered the Kasha Mangsho and Rui Maach Jhaal…damn it reminded me of my country….I just loved it. And will go there again and again. If you want bengali food, this is the place….enjoy while it lasts.
Lunch buffet is great, just dont mind the staff during buffet :)The dinner is slightly $$ but very good – best dishes – Chicken/Mutton Korma

Awesome!!. There is something different about bengali food one should not miss.go for the bengali menu and not the north indian menu..dal,lachi,machar jhol,aloo were excellent..never enjoyed indian cuisine so much!!!
