  Best italian food NA. The pasta tastes like pasta. The bread tastes look some quality bread. The cheese is cheesy. And it’s a great place to go when you’re coming from sullivan after a long stressful day. 10/10 🙂 – DellyPvP

  Get connected at Vinny’s after dark.. This place is an amazing experience. It is the classic joint. Like Santarpio’s Pizza in East Boston, if it were any more authentic you would see Al Pacino sitting at the next table. They used to hide the restaurant behind a beaded curtain in the back of a mom & pop urban convenience store. I don’t think they even had a sign out front. Now they have revamped the place, and it is out in the open as a great neighborhood Italian restaurant. The food tastes like it comes from Momma’s Sicilian kitchen. Load your gut with magnificent food, wash it down with red wine, schmooze with the smart-ass waitress, and don’t say anything stupid. You won’t forget this place. On the right night you might even see Vinny.

  Meets all Expectations. I have been a customer at Vinny’s for 30 years or more it’s never disappointing. I started going here for their Super Italian subs one of the best out there IMO now I go every Tues for their special. We buy their red sauce (Gravy) by the gallon. Reasonable prices and big portions. I read and write a lot of reviews I eat at a lot of restaurants Vinny’s is right up there in my top 5.

  A Rose Is A Rose ….. Having read a decent review of the restaurant and having ben there during the day, years ago, for some of their great subs I thought I would give it a try. Friends and I met there one Wednesday eve in the rain. I mention that because parking is scarce and we all ended up dripping wet while we stood n the subshop portion waiting for a table behind the wrought iron wall…Finally served, the meal was decent. Good food, good prices, a decent bottle of wine at a good price. I had the lasagna and it was large and … dense. Very filling. Other friends had a scampi (good) and some gnocchi, I believe (a bit overcooked). 2 out of 5 stars. And sevice was slow but friendly, but still left you feeling you were in the subshop. When a friend ordered a Coke with his meal instead of having the wine as we were, the waiter reached into the drink chest in the front of the store and handed him a glass an plastic bottle of Coke. The problem was that it was simply subshop food served on cafeteria plates instead of in tin foil boxes. Same food, just a few dollars added on to eat there. Even as the food being served is food from one of the best subshops around, eating off plates behind a red curtain doesn’t change the fact you are eating subshop cuisine.
