  On Monday May 23rd 2016 I decided to stop at scooters to pick up a scallop roll for lunch. I had heard about them through work. We ordered from them a couple of times. So on my day off as I was craving a scallop roll, I stopped in. I could not believe that the server who waited on me was handling orders, the cash register, money, taking away dirty plates that were half eaten from etc. and never wore gloves or washed her hands in between. Isn’t this a board of health issue and infection control? Then, the cook had 3 extra scallops from my roll so she asked the non hand washing server if she wanted them. Hey wait a minute!!! those were my scallops, I paid for them! Needless to say I will never eat there again nor will my co-workers. I ended up tossing the roll in the trash. Doesn’t the board of health check up on these things?

  Great grill food. I visited Skooters for the first time and wished I had stopped in sooner. It is a small 50’s style diner with a few tables and a lot of seats on the counter. They were cooking up generous sized breakfasts and also lunch. The lunch menu was burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and fried seafood. I had a small hamburger that was good and juicy along a tasty serving of fries served hot. My husband had some delicious fried scallops and fries. The scallops were $10 but well worth it. The scallops were as good as anything in a casual dining restaurant and cheaper. Bear in mind – Skooter’s has great food but most of it is grilled or fried.
