If you walk by this place you may not think it looks good enough to go inside, but you would be wrong! Theodores is old school cool. Has some great BBQ at really reasonable prices. We had some margaritas that were too die for. BBQ brisket was awesome, served up with home made beans, slaw, collard greens and corn bread. Service was prompt and friendly, with helpful advice on what to see and do. We didn’t stay for the band but their list of performers was pretty decent. We are from out of town, reviews seemed positive so we gave it a try. The food was outstanding, as a family of 5 everyone found something terrific to eat. Service was quick and attentive, a good thing with kids. We will go back next time we are in this area. We may even make a special trip two hours for those St Louis ribs!!
Unexpected and Delicious!. From the outside, we were skeptical but we went in and were happy we did!! We had the brisket, the ribs, a burger and the spicy Jambalaya. Everything from the proteins to the sides were delicious!! The sides of collard greens, corn bread, slaw and rice were all well seasoned and tasted great. The brisket was tender and the sauces were perfect! I love the atmosphere, blues bar at night, tavern type sports bar during the day. Our service was also top notch!! If we are ever in Springfield again, this is where we will be eating! Great job Theodore’s!!!
