Upscale Italian. Had the seafood risotto which was perfect. Good selection of local craft beers (Wormtown Jack’s Abbey, NBPT, Wachusett) on draft. Service was also excellent. Homemade desserts. A fine successor to the Whistling Swan which once occupied this location. 5 stars!
Tried the short rib special for 28.00. Not worth the money. The meat was dry n not a lot of flavoring. It was a bone in and all it was is a three inch by 6 inch piece of meat wrapped around the bone.. Summer n zucchiniSquash was ok.. Red wine sauce was not a great taste.. Would not order that again.
Avellino is housed in the building where the Whistling Swan was. Remember they share the building with The Swan, which is on the top floor. They serve typical Italian food but also some unique Italian food. The portions are really large and we were full after having an app, salad and our meal.
