Would never go back. I was meeting girlfriend for a fun night out and our waitress was not only forgetful but rude. We placed our order for 3 salmon and a round of drinks, after 15 min she came back to tell us they only had one salmon, still no drink. We had to ask her for bread and then she said with our confusing order (as if running out of salmon was our fault) she forget to get out drinks. The bread was stale and my pasta was mosty broccoli rabe and way too much garlic! Not a good experience at all.

Disappointing. My husband and I took our teenaged daughters to Artichokes for dinner on a recent Saturday night. We were told that the wait would be about 30 minutes, but we waited two hours. (Frankly, I’d prefer that a host or manager overestimate the wait time than underestimate.)When we were finally being seated we were surprised to see that the dining room space in Wakefield seems to be smaller than it was in Malden. There are (oddly enough) two fairly large bar areas — one on the main floor and one on the lower level. I think it might have made more sense to have two dining rooms on the main floor and one bar area in the lower level. The food was fine, but just fine. My daughter’s chicken was slightly overcooked. My shrimp was just this side of rubbery. My husband’s veal was good. The waitress was nice enough, but she seemed to be overwhelmed even though she didn’t seem to have very many tables. We felt sorry for her and we did tip her 25% because she seemed so flustered. It’s really too bad. The location is outstanding. If they reworked the floor plan and reinvented some of their recipes, the place could be outstanding.

Continued lousy service. We were givin a gift cirtificate to the Malden location. The night we went we in a substantial line waiting to be seated. Every time a table emptied we thought the line would move. Then a party who must have come in thru a back door would be seated. This went on until we were so hungry we left. We never used the gift certificate. After reading the reviews for the Wakefield location it is clear nothing has changed. If your thinking of going be sure you know how to get in the back door.
