Not that good. The eggs Benedict was pretty sub-par. The chicken fingers were not good either. The basic breakfast options aren’t bad. But how difficult is it to mess up scrambled eggs. Also overpriced for what you’re getting.

Awesome breakfast. Corned beef hash is homemade, and stringy, not chopped. Pancakes are incredible, both delux and sweet potato.service is quick and friendly.

Not sure what the hype is about!. I love breakfast food, so during my visit to Boston, after hearing rave reviews, I decided to check this place out. I ordered the colossal breakfast – 2 eggs any style, greek sausage, bacon, ham (some other choices I forget), home fries, toast, and your choice of a short stack of any pancakes. I opted for the greek sausage and the blue cornmeal pancakes. I thought the food was okay, any other run of the mill breakfast place. The pancakes were overhyped though, bland and floury. Would definitely not return.

Vegan/Vegetarian friendly but long line to get in. Rior to becoming a vegetarian and now a vegan, I loved going to diners. It’s not just about the food, but the atmosphere and the Deluxe Town Diner has both. All of their vegetarian items are clearly listed on the menu and there is more than one item to choose from for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Service was fast, food was great, and I loved the tea menu. I highly recommend and will go back soon. Their web site address is http://www.deluxetowndiner.com. The only negative I can come up with is that it is so popular that on the weekends there is always a line to get in.

Cruel Seating.. The food can be pretty good here. The decor is wonderfully authentic. The problem is that the owners have done nothing to fix the sagging, horrendous seats. After five minutes you’ll long for the relative pleasure of oral surgery. Prices are on the high side for a diner.

Fantastic suburban brunch. The Deluxe Town Diner is proof that great diners exist outside NYC. Yes, the Deluxe gets hyper-crowded at brunch-time on weekends. Yes, seating can be cramped. Sure, you may not get the A-list server. It doesn’t matter. Boston has so few diners, let alone great diners, that it’s easy to ignore those factors.Brunch is the clear winner. The corned beef hash is superb: nicely spiced, meaty, and nothing like the Alpo-looking canned hash so many places serve. They know how to poach an egg – soft or medium, it’s done right. The bacon is applewood smoked, meaty and delicious. Home fries are usually excellent – crunchy/pillowy, nicely seasoned (don’t tell your cardiologist – they’re fried). The variety of pancakes is amazing. The ployes are rich, grainy and belly-filling, as are the blue-corn. The potato pancakes are a little generic but tasty. The harvest french toast is fantastic – crunchy, flavorful, and different. The omelets are good but can be a little dry. And while it isn’t a traditional brunch beverage, the raspberry lime rickey is great (though a tad sweet).

Deluxe Town Diner: Kid and vegetarian friendly. This is a great spot if you avoid the breakfast/brunch weekend rush. The food is very good. The ingredients are good quality and the place is very child friendly. We went there the other day for an early dinner with the kids and the vegetarian grandparents. Delish and so many veg. options.
