Fabulous!. We have eaten here two nights in a row. A wonderfully diverse menu filled with interesting vegan/vegetarian choices. From the soups and salads to the polenta appetizer, and including entrees and desserts, all the food has been outstanding. Our server the first night was struggling, to say the least, however did an adequate job. Tonight’s server was excellent. We will return here many times.

Well my family of 5 and I arrived around 5 30 p.m on Sunday for dinner and it was jam pack. I was with my wife and our son and his wife and our two grand kids. We was told it would be around 20 minutes from the hostess that look lost and confused. We waited about an hour, hungry and frustrated. I watch people seated before us because of a smaller party. I was frustrated, hungry, and angry. The Host brought samples of the golbi which are very tasty to calm our nerves but didn’t help after such a long wait. I was very upset. The manager came out to to talk to my family and told us that it will be just a few more moments. I Address to Him Of How Hungry And Upset We All Were. 20 minutes became about over an hour wait. We finally sat down after putting 3 tables together for us. My family wanted to leave and have nothing to do with this place. The manager made sure the food came out as fast as possible. Before I even got back from the bathroom there was multiple dishes on our table. It was made very fast and presentation and food was excellent. This was my first experience waiting this long. It was also the first time I met a manager who catered to our needs. Whatever was done change my bad review about this place. My family and I was treated like value guest. Other then the extremely long wait this place is great but small. We will definitely be back soon and hopefully it won’t be another long wait.

Lunch. My husband and I arrived at 3:00 for lunch. We were met and seated promptly. We were given menu’s.Our waitress asked if we wanted to order, we needed time to look at the menu’s.We made our choices. The temperature of the room was in the low 60’sMany people had their coats on.We waited 15 minutes, our waitress came along with another waiter they seemedTo be unsure who would take our order, tension ensued. Our order received, we waited, and waited. Our waitress appeared with my drink, apologizing as a bottle had to be opened. We continued to wait, the waiter appeared and asked if we had completed our meals, we said no.We continued to wait. Our waiter appeared with our salads. My husband kept asking me if he should ask about the soup I ordered.I said, wait till they bring your sandwich.Sandwich delivered, no soup.My husband said my wife ordered soup the waiter asked cup or bowl.soup was finally delivered.I asked what soup was delivered, I was told it was Red Lentil. It neither looked like lentil nor tasted like it. Desert was chocolate cake and chocolate cherry mouse pie.Food was average nothing to drive 25 miles for.Room small and crowded.Every other row of tables could be removed so that you would not be feelingClosed in.Service grade FA waitress breezed by and commented, It’s freezing in here. She tapped the heat control, 30 minutes later the temperature did not budge.Seriously this is New England, it’s in the 20’s outsideWe were so disappointed.

Great spot and concept just be careful if your are vegan the serve dairy and you need to be clear with your waitstaff – don’t assume it will be a vegan dish unless noted as such. Got a cheese dish when I ordered vegan – the server made up for it but be aware and clear.

At its best. Possibly the best vegetarian I’ve had yet at a sit down restaurant. Very high quality and inspired meals and not at all unrealistically priced. Highly recommended. The Near East Seitan is terrific. Make sure to look at their specials too!

Strangely different. We arrived in the afternoon and saw they had a brunch menu available. We waited about 15 minutes, but it wasn’t a problem. Originally, a server came over and told us that it would be about 10 minutes. There were two small groups of guests waiting to be seated and another employee came over about 5 minutes later asking how long we had been waiting, getting our names, and telling us approximately how long our wait would be. This just seemed strange. While waiting, I went to happycow.com and read the review about how the rug in front was dirty while I was sitting in front of the same dirty rug. We got our table and our menus, ordered our beverages, then a few minutes later our meals. I ordered the Banana Wanna Date? smoothie: banana, dates, and homemade cashew milk. Yum! For entrees, we had the huevos rancheros, grande nachos, and the tempeh reuben. Portion sizes are big and the food is good, but served in a slightly strange way. Here’s why. The huevos rancheros was a plate of black beans, corn tortillas, avocados, eggs, and salad. No refried beans and no connection to the items on the plate. All of the items were there on the plate, but not as expected, and the expected salsa that usually unifies the dish was not there at all. The nachos are served on an unusually small plate and doused with sour cream. The good thing was the fresh jalapeos and the really good guacamole, but they easily could have put the nachos on the bigger plate and the huevos rancheros on this small plate. The last entree was the tempeh reuben with grilled onions, organic sauerkraut, and thick, crusty, toasted bread. This was really good and quite filling. My only suggestion would be for them to marinate the tempeh before cooking, but other than that, this was great. No one checked back on us or offered to refill beverages until we were completely finished with our meal. They have a strange set up with employees here. Seems like anyone can take the order and bring out the meal so no one seems truly responsible for service. The server who took the order really did a good job although I suspect she could only do so much within this system. Looks like there are two cooks, possibly 3, two servers, and a busboy working this small restaurant. At times they were all standing around near the register. This restaurant could really do well with some fine tuning and a good scrubbing (windows, walls, floors). The food is good, but they can try harder. I will go back and I hope next time I will see that they are getting the hang of running this restaurant.
