I’m not an especially big fan of the food at Panera, but this particular location is special, as it is part of the Panera Cares system. Which means that all food and drink is on a ‘pay what you can/want’ policy, with some folks choosing to pay more to offset the cost of meals for those who cannot afford to pay at all. This is not intended as a permanent solution to food insecurity but just as a way of fostering discussion and a sense of community.
