Add this to the Favorites list. While the menu selection isn’t extensive, what’s on there is incredibly tasty and a fresh spin on what you’d expect to see on a bistro menu. I ordered the Tropical Shrimp salad and I highly recommend it; similarly, my boyfriend inhaled his Bistro Burger, complete with sharp white cheddar cheese. Some of the dishes are pricey, but the atmosphere (it shares a nice outdoor patio with Sophia’s Grotto) and the staff make this a great spot that we’ll be visiting again soon.
Cute Neighborhood Disappointment. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you the burger is good here. It’s a ho hum burger on a dry, airy bun and we had to send it back Twice to get it medium rare instead of raw. The fries were too greasy. I had a Short ribs daily special that was fine, like something my mother would’ve cooked on a Sunday, which I don’t particularly mean as a compliment. oversharielle.com

Birch Street has probably the most ambitious kitchen in Roslindale. It is worthwhile if you are smart with a menu and not afraid of a wine list.
