Not good. Calamari tasted like chips with too much salt & pepper–no taste or feel of calamari. I pulled off the coating & saw why–dried up calamari shapes, overcooked to flat crisps. Waiter said they’re always like that. Manager offered to replace them w/ more of the same–I declined. Then he offered to replace them w/ another appetizer; I chose shrimp. He CHARGED me for it! My ceasar salad was nothing but lettuce & parmesan cheese. Boring. Partner’s scallops were small portion, also overseasoned w/ black pepper. Everything we had was overdone w/ salt & black pepper. I especially didn’t like the manager’s attitude. I’m willing to return to try pizza, but partner won’t go w/ me.

Went for valentines day dinner. I wished we had read the reviews before… I ordered chicken park and received two small slabs of grilled chicken with a little bit of sauce and cheese. It was also tasteless and burnt. Unimpressed with portions. Diet coke tasted like syrup. I don’t recommend.

Dissapointed. This was a poor excuse for Italian food. I think a chef somewhere let his ego get in the way of good cooking.

Slow service tonight even though the crowd was light.

I had attempted dinner here once before and decided against it, I never should have given it another shot. We walked in and upon sitting down I was already considering leaving. Nothing seemed to grab me about the place. I knew the food was on the expensive side and knowing so I expected more in the way of ambiance. We ordered an appetizer- shrimp scampi. The shrimp was out of this world! Our meals came w soup or salad, we opted for soup. When our meals came, lobster ravioli & seafood canelonni, we were very disappointed in the serving size and lack if presentation. But the taste was even more bland. My husband couldn’t even swallow his first bite of the seafood creation. My lobster Raviolli was tasteless, as was the ‘sauce’ it was lightly doused in. We were assured by the waitress that if we didn’t like our selections she would take care of it as we were skeptical to begin with. When we told her how disappointed we were the manager said she would take the meals off as we were trying to see a movie afterwards and didn’t have time to wait for another meal. Well they did take the meals off but charged us for the soup that was included. We were told ‘we ate it’. Well we wouldn’t have normally ordered a cup of soup at $4 a pop if I had a choice but since it already came with the meal obviously we took it. If I wanted some minestrone I could have went to stop and shop and picked up some progresso for half of that and double the size. I mean should they have charged me for the bite of food I took before I sent it back too? A place that itemizes down to the last bite is clearly only concerned with their money intake and not in making happy customers. But that’s not all- they gave us samples of sangria and my husband and I clearly said we had never had it b4 and what exactly is sangria. Well he chose the white sangria because the others were too fruity. He Specifically told this to the waitress. When she brought his drink she poured the sangria into his cup that had 2 generous lemon wedges and a lime wedge before he could stop her. Well the citrus totally altered the taste from the ‘sample’ so he couldn’t drink it. Another $10 down the drain. When he asked for a drink to was away te taste of the food and citrus I told her to just refill my coke. Instead she brings a new coke and charges $2.80. It was clear this place only cared about how much money they could bring in and how much of a bill they could run up to ensure a good tip. I will never ever go to carrabas again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Just under $100 and it was the worst dining experience ever! You can’t slap a big price tag on a plate and trick everyone into thinking they are getting something upscale. It is a classless restaurant with untalented cooks.

Best Italian food I’ve ever had. The food always comes hot and fresh. 🙂
