Best food in western MA
Lattitude has been an all time favorite for ‘date night’ for my boyfriend and I. We would go usually once a week for a nice bottle of wine and dinner. Recently, we went there after not going in about 2 months and were very excited for a nice night out. Unfortunately that was cut short.. I ordered the tuna which is always delicious, my boyfriend ordered the NY sirloin MEDIUM RARE. As he cut into the center of his steak, with a butter knife because noone brought him a steak knife, the steak was clearly medium-medium well. I told him to send it back, that is not normal for us to be unsatisfied with our meals. As the waitress agreed that the steak was over cooked she brought it back to the kitchen. A few minutes later the Chef and owner Jeff, decided to take it upon himself to leave his kitchen, walk thru the entire restaurant, out to the patio to our table where we were seated and lower himself to my boyfriends eye level and tell him how the steak was clearly medium rare when it came back to his kitchen, maybe there’s a misunderstanding of how my bf likes his steak cooked. Jeff said he’d cook him a rare steak and if my bf didn’t like it, send it back and he’ll cook it a little more. As far as I’m concerned that is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE!! Biting our tounges, we waited for the steak to come back out. At this point my food is cold. The steak comes out, NO steak knife again.. and the steak was purple on the inside. He clearly just seared the steak and sent it out. At this point I’m all set and done. I want my bill and to leave. The ‘manager’ who told me she can’t do much for us bc Jeff is the owner, took the steak off the bill. As far as I’m concerned I’m not paying for my cold food I didn’t eat. I took the bill and walked inside looking for the ‘manager’, waited a few minutes for her to come speak with me. When she finally did she told me she had just finished speaking with my boyfriend and that Jeff packaged up BOTH steaks for him and and she said my bf was all set. It was all taken care of. So I paid for our wine and my meal I didn’t eat. STUPID MISTAKE! As we go to leave my bf informs me what had REALLY been said.. Jeff told him to take the steaks home to look at in his own kitchen and if he didn’t want them then to feed them to the dog!!!! What??!! I’m so disgusted by the lack of professionalism by a so-called executive chef that this would EVER be said and then relayed to my bf!! I wish I could get my money back because we sure as heck will NEVER EVER EVER EVERRRR go back there!
Great food in a crummy area. From the outside Lattitude does not look like an attractive place to dine, but don’t let that turn you away. My family and I went here for my graduation dinner and all of us had a fabulous meal. The server was energetic, fun, and knowledgeable with the menu. Although the tab ended up being a little pricey I would recommend this spot to anyone in the greater Springfield area looking to have a great meal.
Food was good but expected more. Menu was more detailed than the dishes were. Apps were great would definitely go back for apps and drinks but would skip dinner
I just had the best meal at Lattitude. The Staff was so friendly, food was print and absolutely amazing. My Tuna was perfect portion just right and presentation was beautiful. 5 stars from me

Awesome!. I had dinner at Latitude for the second time, and I must say that both experiences have been GREAT!! My meal, Nantucket Sea Bass, was out of this world and my waiter was phenomenal!
