THE BEST INDIAN FOOD AND GOOD SERVICE. We went for dinner on tuesday night the place was pack we waited for 20 minutes and here come the star himself pintu he was friendly and ask us if we want to try his beer my friends and i said ok why not and hands down it is in fact one of the best porter i ever had its spiced with some kind of sweetness which my girl friend loved it as we were waiting we saw almost everybody was getting good service so i was like ok we have seen reviews where some said that he does not treat indian as good as american that was not the case we were well respected pintu came to our table after we placed our food order with one of the wait staff and told us that we have tomuch creamy food and asked if you want him to pick couple of dinners and guess what i had one of the best lamb chops ever and the tikka masala was just great rest of the food was superb i really was very happy and so full after yumi indian food, this is one of the best indian food i ever had in america,as we were ready to say good night i asked pintu why so many indians dont like you he had a smile on his face and told us how some of our own indian don’t even want to hello and act if working and running a restaurant is not a good thing to which i can see his point but again ge had this to say you want to have a good time come have fun and enjoy the night the waitress i think she was spanish was very nice overall very good food and good selection of indian beers we will be back
NEVER GOING BACK. Tonight was my last trip to Pintu. I like the food and travel quite a distance to eat there, however, the service is absolutely terrible — from Pintu himself. He is disrespectful to diners and is generally unpleasant. When we asked why the first of our three appetizers came out within minutes and the remaining two took 45 minutes, he was extremely unpleasant. When the dishes arrived, he threw them on the table. He brought us the bill, which was not tallied, and clearly overcharged us. We paid the bill – left a big tip for the waitperson (figuring if he treats his customers so terribly, how must he treat his staff?) and left. I like the food, but frankly, I don’t pay those types of prices to be mistreated . Tell your friends – there are Indian restaurants in Northampton where they are happy to have your business and will treat you with respect and dignity. It’s just not worth it, Pintu.
Worst service. The food was OK and the service was horrible !!! I have heard similar complaints from my friends too… I will not recommend this ….
Excellent food–Horrible service. I have eaten at many fine Indian restaurants in the world and this is a seriously excellent Indian resaturant. Having said that, I must say the service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. Pintu, who seems friendly enough, only visits the tables where he knows the people. The servers are most unfriendly and seem like they can’t be bothered when taking your order. All in all, I don’t really care because I will be back again and again. The food is THAT GOOD!!!
Great Indian Buffet. Wish I could get here more often for the lunch buffet as I love to sample the different dishes they serve; all delicious and very, very fresh! The service is always friendly and one time I stupidly parked in a wrong space on the street and the owner took it upon himself to move my car for me to a spot in their parking lot. Now that’s service!
I’ll be back!. If you haven’t tried this spot, add it to the list! The food was incredible, they had a nice beer selection, and the service was good. I’m still thinking about the beef curry I ordered – awesome! I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town…
