I was here last month and often over the winter. The place is nice and close to home when weather or traffic is really bad. The restaurant is small and cute with these old looking tables. The menu is very limiting as there are only about a half dozen items on it. However, the cooks have been very accommodating swapping sides for me and my gluten and dairy free guest. Also, they have gluten free pasta! The cost can be a bit on the higher end, but not much more than most restaurants in this category. The big draw back is the limited menu and those hard seats. I think they could use some seat pads.

My husband and I are huge fans of Vittorio, and his passion for farm to table dishes. We have dined at Bistro 5 on multiple occasions, therefore thrilled to hear about his latest adventure with A Tavola. The food continues to carry the same passion as we are used to, however the service is less than desirable! Our first dinner was Valentines Day 2012, and service was ok. Our waitress was personable when we saw her, but lacked attentiveness. We ordered a carafe of wine, which was dirty and was replaced without question. However, later a waiter clearing items off mutiple tables did take my husbands glass of wine assuming it was finished. Our second visit was for Sunday Brunch, about a month later and service was terrible! Hostess was absent but we were greeted by a waiter who did greet and sit us. We waited approximately 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us while that same waitress waited on two tables, including the one right next to us, before even coming over to us to say hello. Once we had our waitresses attention, she asked us for our drink order and suggested if we knew what we wanted she would be happy to take our order now to avoid further waiting. Great idea but it worked against her. We received our meals, but our drinks had yet to arrive. We were told by another waitress one of the drinks we ordered needed to be rebatched, however none of the other drinks came out until that was done. Once we had all drinks, we never saw our waitress again. Not to mention the outside of the coffee cup was stained with dried coffee, and had grounds inside. Later, we had to flag a waitress to get the check. Food is great, but customer service needs some attention!
