I went to LaScala because I had a gift card from restaurant.com. The restaurant refused to honor it. For a $25 value they offer to take 10% off of food items only. The service was mediocre and we were made to feel uncomfortable due to our disappointment in their refusal to honor the gift card. The food was given in large portions but not appetizing enough to even consider taking home for left overs. I will never eat there again. The atmosphere is so small we were practically sitting in the laps of the people next to us and even though there were more private tables we were not offered them.
GREAT HOME COOKIN!. I’m a HUGE snob when it comes to Italian food and this place is legit! Been twice and plan on making it a regular stop. The veal parm is insane. In the summer they have an outdoor patio and off street parking (which is rare for Shrewsbury Street). Love it!
