This is excellent ethnic cuisine. I love the owner and his passion for his food, his family, and his culture. Thuan Loi is a great educational experience. You will never see a bowl of soup in the same way again.
Great food with an impressive menu. The prices are slightly high but it’s the only gig in town. The only downside is the old man owner who talks and talks and has poor boundaries when it comes to dining. I stopped dining in. Next challenge is whenever I call for take out, it seems I wait and wait for the food. My theory is, the owner puts the order in once you arrive. I’ve had one too many quarrels about this matter with the owner who can be down right rude. My daughter or bf picks up the food now. The bun is fantastic. I love the Taro Bubble tea as well.
This was our first time eating at Thuan Loi restaurant and we were very pleased. The food was fresh and made to order. It was very good. This family owned restaurant shows pride in their culture and their dishes. It is now a favorite spot for us.
Authentic family run Vietnamese.Finding decent Asian food on Cape Cod can be difficult. I had a craving for pho and began looking around the Bass River area, Thuan Lol did not disappoint. My girlfriend ordered the calamari and it was well done, flavorful and fresh. The owner of the restaurant was a bit overwhelmed by the lunch rush, however, he still managed to take the time to speak with everyone individually and explain the dishes and how best to use the various sauces provided at the table. On par with similar family run Vietnamese restaurants that I have frequented on the West Coast. Expect a bit of a wait if the restaurant is crowded. Everything is made fresh to order minus the pho broth I would imagine.
A great family owned business. The only restaurant we make a point of visiting while on the Cape. They’re gluten friendly too if you give them a heads up. Spring rolls, pho, lemongrass dishes are great but the Calamari and Crepe entrees are in a league of their own.
Very tasty and personable!. I found this tiny restaurant in South Yarmouth 3 years ago and go there as often as possible. I had been looking for some good Pho Ba soup for several years, as I had developed a taste for it (and several other dishes) while working for a Vietnamese restaurant in NY state. I was impressed with the food, drink and family environment. The food is always very fresh, tasty and – most importantly – consistent.I have since taken many of my friends to this small restaurant and they were all quite pleased with their menu selections, atmosphere and prices.
Nice family staff. Food is good, but way over priced, but this is Cape Cod!
