  Used to LOVE this placae. Loved, loved, loved this place in the past. But recently had two encounters where we were overcharged on the bill. First time thought it may be an honest mistake, got the wrong bill perhaps. So we just let it go, new owner, new cashier. The next time my son and I went in, sent my son to pay the bill and they charged him $4.00 more than what the bill said (2 diners, 2 meals, and I only order 3 $1.00 tacos). I wrote the owner of Sunnyside Caf a letter, explaining the details of both overcharge incidents. But nothing, nada, zilch. Have not been back since. Other Mexican restaurants in town that do not rip you off. Pay enough to eat out plus tip, but hate to add more cost to accommodate mistakes. But what bugs me more than anything was the lack of response from the owner. So sad as it was once a favorite place to eat and hang out with friends.

  Disappointing Lunch. My husband and I have been going to Sunnyside Cafe for 20+ years and have always loved the food. However, we stopped in for a late lunch yesterday (9/21/13) and were very disappointed. My husband had the steak fajitas but his meat was very bland and over cooked. I had a combination plate and the ground beef for the taco and chalupa was also bland and over cooked. It tasted like boiled ground beef. The pork for my tamale was dry. Even the beans were bland. If we hadn’t added salsa and salt, I’m not sure we would have eaten it at all. Our server was not very attentive either and we sat right in front of the cash register. I posted a note on their Facebook page, which they have taken down.

  Best of the Best. I have been a regular at Sunnyside for over 25 years, and continue to enjoy some of the Best Mexican Food I have ever eaten. Their breakfast is top shelf, and I could never get enough of their tacos and chicken enchiladas. My family is treated like family each and every time we visit. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is always friendly and courteous. I have never taken anyone to Sunnyside that did not become a regular. These people are the best!

  Best of the best Mexican food in Adrian. Sunny Side is great Mexican food. It is not pricey at all. In fact, they have daily specials that make it one of the best values in Adrian.Basically, if you want to have a drink with your meal, go to the other place. If you want to take your family for fantastic affordable authentic Mexican food w/o alcohol, this is the best place in town. Good service. Good prices. Great food!

  One of the best in Adrian. This place is one of the best places to grab lunch/dinner (even breakfast!) in Adrian. That being said, it is also one of the most expensive places to grab dinner. They charge for just about everything.The rice and beans (mostly the beans) are AMAZING! They actually have flavor, they aren’t just slopped from a can, someone is actually taking the time and consideration to even make beans and rice taste good. The tamales/tacos are awesome.My husband got the giant burrito and it probably would have been enough for the both of us.
