Beer!. If you like beer, you will love this place. Amazing selection and lots of rotating/seasonal brews. Go early to avoid a line!
Great beer selection Average bar food
Great place whether you’re in college or not. This was definitely a bar for the older crowd when I was in college and I always love going back when I’m in town. It’s such a fun atmosphere and I don’t think you can get a better beer selection anywhere else. All the food is good here but my personal favorite are the waffle fries with pesto and I ask for the jalapeo ranch dressing instead of the one it comes with-definitely my guilty pleasure and so worth it!
Bad experience. I’ve been in here a few times and, sort of like candy corn, I come out and wonder why. The last time was the tipping point: bad service from our waitress on a relatively quiet night, not one but TWO dirty glasses had to be sent back, overpriced mediocre food (undercooked hamburger–yuck), and a pretty rude manager, leave me pretty hesitant to go back. That said, it has beer and if that is your only criteria for going, you’ll be okay.
Great beer selections. We just went the other night with a group of 6. Good atmosphere, and the drink menu was great. I like to try new beers, and I tried several that i’d never had before. We had several apps, including nachos, potato skins, and cheddar ale dip. All were delicious and well cooked. My friends had been many times, but this was my first time, and i can’t wait to go back. Really liked it.
This is the reason you come to michigan. Laid back. Great burger. Huge beer selection.
Beer & Whiskey goodness. Any time I’m in the Ann Arbor area I make a point to stop here for a pint & bit of scotch. The bartenders are usually on point with pairing the beer & scotch. Most everything I have had to eat has been good. The servers can always lead you to a beer if you are unsure of what to drink, as there are many, many choices. It’s almost too hard to go there and only have a couple drinks. If you like beer & whiskey then Ashley’s is a must!!
