It’s okThe reviews had me expecting a lot more. What I found was mediocre. I had a pork tamale and a fish taco. Both were average flavor. The salsa is served in all little cups and it was not particularly spicy or tasty. A film of four cost about $40.
Authentic Tacos. After spending a summer in Mexico, I had been dying to find authentic Mexican food! Chela’s had an awesome environment and delicious food! I had three chorizo tacos and one filled with chipotle chicken, all of which were delicious! They reminded me exactly of the tacos I would get at the markets in Oaxaca. Additionally, they had Sidral Mundial, an amazing apple-flavored soda that tastes like apple cider, but better. You’ve got to try the chorizo and the horchata tasted more like dessert than a beverage! I can’t wait to go back.
Tasty, reasonable, and cheerful. The food is standard Mexican with really good ingredients, carefully prepared, and a nice presentation (best i’ve seen in a Styrofoam container). The best little restaurant Ann Arbor has. I love this place. I have lived in Ann Arbor my whole life, and I have tried many of the restaurants here from the. Yet, in my book, Chela’s takes the blue ribbon. The food is fresh, delicious, and authentic Mexican. The couple who run the place are very nice, and often stop to talk to customers and catch up with regulars. Definitely give this place a try! I really enjoy their black bean tacos.
Great Food!!!!. We stopped by there today for the first time and it was amazing! The service was great and the ingredients were fresh. Definitely will be back.
