Nice Place. The food is well worth the price. Nothing ordinary here. Nice variety. The ribs are out of this world. The salmon, especially with the bacon jam was awesome.

Nice atmosphere, great appetizers and wines, but entrees not so good.. Melange has a nice atmosphere, sort of warm and clubby with an Asian touch. They have a very good wine list, and we always enjoy the appetizers. But their entrees just aren’t very good.My duck the other night had an odd rubbery texture, and the sauce was too sweet. My husband’s lamb lacked good flavor. There are several other places in town that have much better versions. It’s not just the one night, either. We try a full dinner there once or twice a year, and they’re never as good as what we get at other places. But we’ll keep going for drinks and appetizers.

This restaurant, located downstairs, has the appeal of trendy nightspots in Vegas and New York. The menu is inventive and different from anything else around Ann Arbor and the staff are true professionals that always make our experience special. The wine list has creative and interesting selections from all over the world and the martini list also offers something for everyone’s palate. The dessert selection has recently changed and is really delicious! Make sure to try the cake pops!
Um…pretentious. Well, I need another visit before I dismiss this place. Our server was Denny’s quality. She was inelegant, feeling justified to interrupt at any time, barging in trying to sell more wine, apps, and cocktails, etc. She hadn’t a clue how to serve with normal rules and procedures. She also knew little about food, confusing lentils and fennel. The glass pour list is interesting, but $9-10 a glass does nothing to encourage experimentation. At least the glassware is decent. The hostesses were utter twits and understood little of their role as the customer’s first contact. One of the dishes at our table, the scallops for $25 was not edible. Over-cooked main ingredient improperly prepped (unwashed and gritty) paired with afterthought risotto would be inexcusable at half that price. The interior design is truly remarkable and well done, but when the service and food come up this short, it’s all just pretentious b.s., isn’t it?
