one of my Ann Arbor staples–I get the original hippy breakfast every time I go and a good hot cup of coffee. nothing better. not a lot of space but tons of character.

Best. Diner. Ever!I was so s-faced after getting my drink and groove on at Cavern Club that the Fleetwood saved my arse. I ordered the corned beef hash and had them throw on 4 fries eggs. I added some fries and some wheat toast. I woofed that down but was still buzzing so I ordered 2 coney dogs and a large Coke. Great place to people watch too! Thanks Fleetwood, you’re the peas in my pod!

Greasy spoon and Ann Arbor institution. Service varies wildly depending on what time of day you go–I stopped in early one morning before work and the chef was using incredibly foul language very loudly in front of customers and staff. It’s pretty grimy inside and there’s not much space to maneuver. Standard diner fare, but the hippie hash sets it above a place like Frank’s (and why it gets a 3.5 for me). Overrated, but hit it during off-hours for the hippie hash or after a night of barhopping for some greasy delights. Open 24 hours, which is a bonus.

It’s a greasy spoon…in every sense of the term. No one goes to the Fleetwood expecting a high class dining experience. If you walk up to it, and the greasy spoonness of it frightens your sensitive little self, then keep on walking. But if you want good diner food, or maybe it’s after 2:00 am and you need something on your stomach, then this is the place to go.The signature dish is the Hippie Hash, and for good reason. It is amazing! You have a layer of hash browns, and it’s then topped with a bunch of vegetables like broccoli, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. It then gets an bunch of feta cheese, and the result is awesome.

A True Bacon Burger. Having bacon on your burger is always a good thing. But this place has a burger that half ground beef, and half ground bacon. Just plain awesome. The burgers make it possible to put up with the hippies in the place.

Hippie Hash. The place is a dump, yes, but I just close my eyes and nosh on the best breakfast food in the world – the hippie hash breakfast.

Its food. This is a great after bar stop! The people and the resturant can be gross here but good people watching.
