I visited Grange for dinner, to which we were luckily able to snag a table upstairs. Despite the crowd, we were served promptly. To start, I had the bacon-infused Manhattan, which had a subtle flavor of bacon. It was a good cocktail, which we had with the poutine. The cheese curds were fresh and the best part of the dish, though I found the duck gravy to be a lukewarm with the fries. For dinner, we had the grilled trout with cauliflower, which was beautifully plated. The trout was lightly seasoned, and the flash-fried cauliflower and puree added a nice texture element to the dish. This is one of the higher-end restaurants in the city that has a simple menu, yet it’s important to know that you’re paying for the quality of the food (which is all from local sources).
