This German bar prides itself in serving bar fare and European-style beer (even in a boot!). After trying out the bar upstairs, I decided to go downstairs for a drink and some snacks. We ordered an old fashioned to start, which was decent. We ordered the potato skins, which came out relatively fast. It was a massive appetizer, which I shared with a couple people. It was absolutely delicious, especially with the garlic dipping sauce. My only reservation about the place is the atmosphere. It was quite dead on a weekend, and we were the only ones at the bar after some time. It was a bit eery, though Im wondering if it ever gets packed during the week.
Very disappointing. The food was not very good, but worse they would not accept the gift card due to some technical reader issues. The result was they insisted that we pay for the meal not using the gift card. They received our payment for the meal and our money for the gift card. Very disreputable place. I would advise to steer clear.
Great German Restaurant. I am not an expert with German cuisine but I really loved this place. It has a nice German atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered the Weiner Schnitzel and thought it was delicious.
Good Times, Good Food. The Heidelberg has wonderful German food, the best in town in my opinion. And for the month of October they are featuring their Wild Game menu with some interesting and unique selections. Top dinner off by drinking some German draught beer out of a glass boot. You can pick a 2 litre boot, or a 1 litre boot.
