If you like beer, this place is a must for you. They have an extensive menu with different crafted beers (also a special selection of local beers). The food is really nice, we just tried some of the shareable items and I would definitely recommend the Buffalo Rolls.
Super amazing beer selection – even for people who are beer aficionados. Can’t speak to food selections, but the main reason for coming should be for drinks. Bazillions of great, quality craft options on tap, additional beers only by the bottle, and top-shelf liquor for those who don’t care for brew.

130 beers on tap-enough said. I was two seconds away from typing Crack fries. 130 beers on tap. and clicking post. Located in a building that is more than 100 years old and full of charm and character. The first level of the restaurant is centered around the massive circular bar with booths and high top tables surrounding it. On the 2nd level you will find the Huma Room which is for events and concerts complete with a stage and a beautiful view of the city. Parking is a little challenging but HopCat has done a fab job of providing multiple options for beer-goers:Valet Parking is available seven days a week beginning at 4pm Monday-Friday, 11am on Saturdays and 10am on Sundays. There is a small parking lot behind HopCat and its available (for free) before valet starts.Free self parking is available after 5:30 pm Monday-Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday in the fenced lot at 80 E. Canfield, which is one block east of HopCat.There is lots of metered parking surrounding the restaurant dont forget your change!Their menu is huge, reasonably priced and absolutely delish. We tried the grilled cheese and crack fries ($9) which there are no words for except YUMMMM. Next, we tasted the bruschetta ($8.50) which was very fresh and flavorful. Their HUGE beer selection ranges from $5-$12 and they run great specials Monday-Friday.The entire place has an old school feel to it and paintings of Michigan legends adorn the walls. Its a popular place and for good reason so get ready for a bit of a wait. We dined at HopCat on a Sunday night and waited about 20 minutes for a table, which was better than the 40 minutes they told us it would take. TOTALLY worth it and if youre still not convinced I will say it again: Crack fries. 130 beers on tap. THE END.
