Lunch was fabulous! Kibbeh balls appetizer was served hot and delicious. Wish there were more. Followed with generous portion of well seasoned chicken shawarma. I had carrot sticks and baba ganoush. I didn’t eat the carrots because the rest of the meal was so filling. Plenty of pita served with the baba ganoush. Lightly spiced and freshly made. Baklava made a perfect ending. The service was excellent and Mary didn’t laugh at my butchering the names. Overall, I highly recommend.
Excellent meal and excellent service! Our waiter was really helpful in suggesting dishes to get an ultimate middle eastern sampler platter. And so inexpensive!!
Rudest phone service ever , this place needs manners and better service rude rude rude. Worst phone service ever , the man was rude , unpolite, harsh and brash, DONT BOTHER TO CALL
Great Food. If we had known there’re line-up, we’d have stopped by to secure a tbl b4 we parked our car. However, the wait was not that long. Food was great & service was good. Worth the high ratings!
An oasis in Ann Arbor…. …for those who love eastern Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food. Tight quarters; not many tables. Definitely a casual atmosphere; friendly. Food quality is good; not the best, nonetheless, I still recommend (at the very least do takeout if it’s too crowded).
Best Value in Town. For my money, Jerusalem Garden is the best lunch venue in Ann Arbor. For about 7 dollars this restaurant will assemble a fresh, hot, and tasty chicken schwarma sandwich that both satisfies the taste buds and pleases the belly. It’s light and healthy, to boot. The physical experience is not great, as it is a small place with cramped conditions, so I would recommend taking it to go.
Meh… My husband and I love Mediterranean food. We have a usual place we go but we wanted to try out other places. We sought out Jerusalem Garden because they have higher reviews than our favorite spot. We went and I ordered the falafel and my husband got a shawarma…the same things we get at our place. We were doing a meal deal so we also got a side of hummus and a meat pie. The meat pie was disappointing for me. My husband ate most of it anyway. The waitress also forgot she had already brought us ours and tried to give us a second one. The hummus was alright.. not amazing but not awful either. The falafel left a lot to be desired. My husband could barely eat his shawarma because the grape leaves they used were practically indestructible. We had to dig in with our fingers to deconstruct it to make it edible. Even then it was mediocre. I couldn’t wait to get out. It just wasn’t a pleasant experience for me…especially being seated next to the bathrooms and at a small table where the wall decoration is literally in your hair and you can’t move your head for the decoration behind you prodding into the back of it.. I was truly baffled that this place was reviewed so highly. I was overall unimpressed.
