Perfect Hump Day Pick-Me-Up. I went here for a Wednesday night dinner with a bunch of my girlfriends. The restaurant was busy for a Wednesday night and offered array of daily specials.Their daily menu was impressive as they build off the menu off of the ingredients they get from the farmers’ market that morning.I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich off of the Daily Special Menu. The meat was savory and melted in my mouth. A downside was that it was served relatively cold. Rating: 8.5/10My friends ordered the Lemony Quinoa Salad which they remarked as being healthy, filling, and refreshing. There was the perfect amount of quinoa with shaven vegetables on the side. The lemon seasoning was not too powerful. Rating: 8/10The wait staff was excellent and friendly. There’s a great drink selection as well.Overall, our experience was great and was the perfect Wednesday night pick-me-up.

Good food mediocre service. We stopped into the Jolly Pumpkin and ordered some beers. The food and beer was great but the waiter we had was a poor example of service. Inattentive and dismissive, he paid little to no attention, walking away multiple times before we had finished ordering.

Disappointed. I was in Ann Arbor over the past weekend and me and my girlfriend stopped at the Jolly Pumpkin after hearing goof things about it from the locals. My first impression was it felt like a hipster’s restaurant. We were seated and the menu consisted mostly of pizzas and sandwiches. We ordered the butcher platter of chesses and meats, walleye po boy and the grill chicken on brie. The platter was average as it only consisted of two types of meat and three cheeses. My walleye po body came out and it was two small pieces of fried fish, not worth the $14.00 I paid for. My girlfriend on the other hand raved about her chicken sandwich and I agreed it was delicious. I had mixed feelings, because I felt the menu was very creative and their wheat ale was great. But, I felt the walleye sandwich should had a larger filet as the portion was far too small. Our waiter came off as obnoxious in regards to personality. With that being said, I would give it a try and I would more than likely give it another chance.

Great Cobia Sandwich. I had the Sweet and Spicy Cobia Sandwich on my visit to Jolly Pumpkin. It was really good. It was basically a bnh m sandwich (which I love) with fish instead of pork or chicken. It comes on a baguette with pickled daikon and carrots, cucumbers, and cilantro; all the basic condiments of a bnh m. Instead of Sriracha, they use a sambal based mayo to add some heat. The Cobia itself was cooked perfectly and was a nice sized piece that was quite flavorful.I must say, this was my first seafood version of a bnh m, but I definitely hope it’s not my last. I wish the Vietnamese places I frequent in Atlanta had something like this on their menus. Anyone who loves a good bnh m and likes fish will like this sandwich as well.

The fries are amazing! Light with hints of garlic and rosemary, you can’t beat it.

Fantastic new age pub. The food and the drinks are top notch. Everything is so fresh and delicious- such a creative food and drink menu and everything I’ve had is fantastic.
