It was good Korean food but not the best I have had. Their kimchi is the best I have though. I’m going back because the portions are good and it’s affordable
Great Korean food. Better than airang and cheaperI had a pork chicken dish that was great and the kids had fried rice which they lovedWaitstaff is a bit painful. You order at the counter and they are perturbed if you don’t know exactly what you wantOtherwise it’s worth a shot
Pretty decent Korean food can be had here. Where the place falls down is on price and value. At a Korean restaurant, you are supposed to be served side dishes with your meal. A basic meal should get you 4, and with the better places, 6 or more. At Kang’s, you only get the kimchi. No sprouts, spinach, potatoes, et cetera. Furthermore, the prices are full-service restaurant prices for a cafeteria experience. You have to order at a counter and pick up your food on a worn out plastic tray. The appetizer list is perfunctory: just cheap, frozen, vaguely Korean fried dumplings, and one other app. And the dumplings will set you back $6! They are not particularly friendly at the counter, nor are the teenage kids working there interested in the type of customer service one expects these days. Still, the food is passable, and I find myself going there when in the neighborhood. There are plenty of better Korean restaurants around (try Bewon), however. My meal was $19 for fried squid, dumplings, and a drink. Wouldn’t you rather go to a full service Korean place for those tabs?
The food was great. I ordered Bibimbam n it was great. One of few authentic Asian places in town.
Awesome. This was my first time having Korean food, so I didn’t know what to expect. I split an order of the potstickers and the spicy pork meal with a friend and we loved it. The potstickers were perfect, and so was the dipping sauce. The meal though was fabulous. You get rice, kimchi, bean sprouts, and miso soup with every meal, and it is all very delicious. The spicy pork was pretty spicy, but not so bad that your average Oriental cuisine fan couldn’t stand it. It’s a nice, small place with friendly wait staff, cheap food that tastes good, what more could you want?
Great food, nice owner, very tasty options. Small place but it’s cool that way. Free hot tea! Try the b3. It will rock your world!
THE BEST BI BIM BOP IN MICHIGAN!. Kang’s is famous for their BI BIM BOP. Tender Meat, deliciously marinated Vegetables and a fresh Egg. Served with a side of Kim Chee.
