Mani is one of my favorites spots in Ann Arbor. Food is consistently delicious and creative options always in abundance. Pickled tomatoes and Pistachio Red Onion Pizza are my go-tos. So delicious, I’d travel an hour to eat here. Service is excellent.

I have mixed feelings about my time at Manis, hence my ranking. I first went for dinner, to which I ordered the pistachio and onion pizza. It was okay, though I wasnt completely in love with the topping. The pistachios should have been ground more, plus the pizza lacked a lot of flavor (especially the sauce). My friend has a pastas, which he wasnt so fond of either. I came back for a business lunch, and my experience was slightly better. To start, we had the crab dip with fresh bread. The crab was okay, but I enjoyed the bread far more. My crab tortellini was extremely rich and flavorful, the broth holding the majority of the taste. However, the portion was incredibly small for $18. I left feeling a little hungry afterwards. I dont think the overpriced, locally-made theme is a reason to visit. The food is so so, however the ambiance is its redeeming quality. The customer service Ive received from the staff has been the best Ive had in Ann Arbor, and for that, Id consider making my rank a little higher. However, if Mani wants to be considered as the best restaurant in town, it needs to start checking the food its sending out.

Fabulous… one of the best branzino I’ve ever eaten. The whole fish was served deboned and perfectly crisp skin. The negative, and only by my palate, fig prosciuttoand blue cheese salad. They used dried figs rendering the salad sweet and heavy. I can’t wait to come back

Great experience. We had a meatball pizza, salad, Brussels sprouts and several pasta dishes. Everything was excellent. Wait staff was great. It’s really crowded and if they took reservations is rate them higher. We waited 45 mins for a table. Too long w kidsTotal meal for 3 adults and 2 kids was $120Worth a shot as long as you don’t have to wait too long

Our waiter, Shawn, made our dinner experience worthwhile. My wife and I try to search out Neapolitan and wood fired-style pizza wherever we travel. While the pizza at Mani’s is not necessarily high on our list, our waiter allowed us to customize our usual arugula and prosciutto pizza with figs –which made it more enjoyable. In short, the pizza is a little too dry and lacks the slight sweetness in typical certified Neapolitan dough. We did, however, love the crunchy pork belly appetizer.

Have eaten here several times and tried about everything on the menu. Tasty food but I am much more talented at making anything they serve at home. The place is loud, the service poor, and the attitude groundless. I will probably eat there again but only because the restaurants around A2 are all expensive and mediocre.04 Aug, 2013Tasty food but I am much more talented at making anything they serve at home. Wow. So much at reasonable prices. Don’t miss the pickled tomato starter or the mushroom za with rosemary ham. Limoncello gelato needs more lemon.
