Seafood Paradise!. While there are a lot of places to buy fish around here, nobody has the seasonal variety, handling and knowledge of Monahan’s. Where else in the midwest can you get whole fish? Nothing is wrapped in plastic, it’s as fresh as it gets.Their chowder and lunch is the best around. Casual but delicious…while they have a lot of fried offerings, they will also prepare anything out of the case in any manner you like. I haven’t seen a fish market/restaurant since I lived in Boston, so this is one of those places that makes Ann Arbor, particularly Kerrytown, so special.
