Old Town Tavern is a decent place for American food and brews on Liberty street. The simple atmosphere and wooden booths give the place a cozy feeling, especially in winter. There was a bit of a wait when I went with my friends, and do the booths, it was quite crowded for us. Our server was quite occupied, so we often had to ask for her. However, the drinks came shortly after they were ordered. Their cocktails are cheap, and they have a very reasonably priced menu for beer. I had the Manhattan stirred, which was okay. My friends old fashioned was more flavorful to me. My friends cheese fries were extremely delayed in coming out, but they were tasty once we had them. The spinach artichoke dip we ordered was the best dish of the night, feeding all six of us.

Comfortable atmosphere; brick walls; old photos; tin ceiling; nice bar; friendly waitstaff; very reasonable prices. Good, casual place for burgers, sandwiches, salads. A few larger entrees. Had one of the best Reubens here; a Top 10 Reuben!
Been in ann arbor 6 years…without old town I never would have felt like this place is home. Get a beer, a burger, and talk to the barkeep. You won’t be disappointed
