Great place. I stopped in while on vacation looking for just a quick bite to eat. They were very quick and the food tasted great. love the various types of BBQ I could put on my pulled chicken.
This was really good. I had the rib plate which is a half slab (6 bones) along with collard greens and Mac & cheese. The ribs were tender and very large with the rib tips still attached. Nice smoky flavor. The collards were fantastic and the Mac was OK (a white cheddar that was kinda clumpy). I will definitely be back.
Won’t go back. Chicken was average, brisket was below average, prices were outrageous, BBQ sauce tasted like s water downed & vinegar added Open Pit. I can get 3x the food for the same at better places. Place overall seemed very generic.
Not good. The mac And cheese is gross, BBQ is way to pricey and this would not be considered soul food more like…Joke food. I wouldn’t feed their food to my dog, but they have friendly staff.
Good take out sort of place. Not bad bbq for Michigan, yes it isn’t as good as some of the great bbq places in the South, but I had a great pulled pork sandwich. Usually in Michigan, the people tend to not smoke the meat much, but this place has a smoker right out front and it is in use….. I would recommend!
I can honestly say this BBQ was actually pretty tasty ! The BBQ sauce was a little watered down but not terrible at all. Hubby and I had 1/2 slab each Mac and cheese, cole slaw, baked beans, and greens. We also had the corn bread which I though was excellent !! I could live with out the mac and cheese for sure ! That was the only thing that I will not attempt again. Overall I would give them a 4 out 5 for my experience. Plus I’m preggo and picky but they def passed the test 🙂
Sadly disappointed. I was really excited to eat here, but it just wasn’t that good. The brisket was dry and i thought they should of mixed their hot sauce and their house sauce together. This would of made it taste a little better. The pulled pork wasn’t too bad. The really bad part is the staff, it might have even been the owner. Just the little comments he made turned me off to this place.
