This prohibition-style bar is one of the better places in the city, the restaurant specializing in cocktails (of course). The speakeasy has a hidden entrance, and the dress for this bar is business casual and up. Luckily, I visited on a night when it wasnt so crowded. To drink, I tried the Manhattan #1 as my friend drank Coles old fashioned. We both really enjoyed our drinks, as they were mixed well (the bitters especially flavorful). To snack on, my friend has the devil on horseback and I the autumn panzanella. His plate consisted of bacon wrapped dates, however they were out of the cheese to accompany it. He thought it was decent, though quite overpriced. My meal contained an overwhelmingly amount of sourdough. It was good, however it couldve used for some sort of sauce. The Last Word is a great cocktail bar, however it might not be the best place for dinner.
Best craft cocktail bar around. This is probably my absolute favorite craft cocktail bar. I love the prohibition-era drinks. The bartenders and waitstaff are all very knowledgable, the drinks are perfectly constructed, and the environment is very cool.
