Down Hill. They started as a really great sandwich and pizza shop but it’s been down hill since then. I used to love their Italian Combo grinders with lots of melted cheese, mushrooms, and homemade bread. Now the bread is stale, they skimp on the cheese, they put GOBS of disgusting PORK TOPPING on everything and TONS of stringy ham. I also noticed the tomatoes in the sandwiches often have stems and green pieces in tact. CHEAP and GETTING CHEAPER. NO QUALITY CONTROL.+ PORK FETISH.
Best Grinders around. The Italian Grinder is addictive! The Cactus chili, when it’s available (I think it’s seasonal), is delicious! I’m not a big fan of cactus, but this rocks.My husband has eaten all over the world and rates this as the best grinder place in the world. I think he key is the bread. It’s not too thick so you don’t get a sandwich that’s all bread.However, lately they’ve been baking the bread a bit too long because the top crust is a little dark, and thus a little harder than normal. I have to pull off the crust from the top to enjoy my grinder…..hmm maybe their oven is on the fritz lately?
Better than the rest!. We’ve been going to Mancino’s for about seven or eight years or so. They don’t skimp on the toppings like Pizza Hut does, and the pizzas themselves are really great, as are the grinders (I recommend the Italian). We prefer Mancino’s Pizza (Beckley) over the rest unless we need it delivered.
