  Disappointed and for several reasons!. I live within walking distance to Amici’s and have dined there a few times. While the food isn’t very remarkable I like the close proximity, especially since Berkley has so few decent restaurants. However, I placed a carry-out order last night that resulted in my never-doing-business with them again – which I really too bad as I wanted to see them succeed in winning a repeat customer. I placed the order and was told everything would be ready in 20 minutes. Reasonable. However, when I arrived one of the owners and several employees where simply chatting away at the counter and I was told my order ‘hadn’t come out yet’. In fact, staff hadn’t even started making anything, nor had they started working on the order of the gentleman waiting behind me at the register. So, now I’m forced to wait. I sat down at one of the dining tables and watched as the owner sat down at another table while one of her staff simply lay down on her back on one of the benches so they could chat some more. In the dining room. Ok, so the place must be laid back. So laid back that they could give a s@#! Wow!30 minutes later my order’s up. And when I get home I find that they hadn’t made what I’d asked for. Like I said, their food wasn’t remarkable before all this. And I did try to give them the benefit my business in the hope they’d give me a reason to come back. Not anymore.

  Date night. I came here for a date night with my boyfriend because I heard there were good vegetarian options. I was extremely pleased with the drink selection which a selected a clementine mojito which was something different and delicious. I loved the atmosphere and the quaint feel as well as the food and drink variety. it was overall an Excell night and I will certainly return
