Surprisingly Superb!. For a couple years i would always drive past this restaurant and my love of great Thai food would be trumped by the concern that Siam Spicy looked a little run-down. I even questioned if it had run out of business! Then one fateful day, the Thai restaurant I was supposed to meet a few friends at turned out to be shut for renovations and so we landed at Siam Spicy. We were so pleasantly surprised! The interiors were clean, spacious, tastefully decorated… and the food was really fresh and authentic tasting! The friends with me were Asian and had previously worked at a a Thai restaurant and they thought it was great too. The tom-yum soup was the best I’ve ever had and the massaman curry was a huge portion and delicious. I loved that they didn’t skimp on the kaffir lime leaves and lemon grass in the dishes that called for them – it made the food really aromatic and gave it great depth of flavor. All in all.. i can’t wait to go there again! Best Thai food in the Greater Detroit Area.

Ordered the noodle soup with my friend. It was perfect spiciness. My friend got a complementary fried rice from the waitress. She was nice. Recomend this place without any hesitation.

No curry?. 10 years ago I used to go to this joint for the best thai curry in town once a week. Now, the menu has changed : (

I’ve had a few dishes here. It’s my favorite Thai place. My boyfriend and I get the Pad Se’ew and the pad Thai curry. They are flavorful dishes but be careful with choosing the spice level. Sometimes medium is perfect for us because we like heat, but sometimes it’s too hot to handle. I’d recommend starting with mild plus. Never eaten in only ordered carry out.

Delicious Pad Thai. Siam Spicy is easily the best Thai food I’ve had in Michigan (and tops what we had back in Florida). The Pad Thai is abosolutely delicious and they are willing to make things extra spicy if you ask. Will definitely return again and again!/*edited to add, now prefer Penn’s Thai Kitchen slightly more but Siam Spicy does do in a pinch 🙂

Pad Tua. I highly recommend this sweet and (optionally, medium) spicy dish! I usually order with chicken and cashews instead of almonds.
