This used to be our special place in Brighton for anniversaries, celebrations. Tonight we made a reservation, arrived on time, and were told it would be just a few minutes. We went into the bar and got a before-dinner drink while we were waiting. Suddenly the hostess came up to us, said that another group that was friends with the owner had arrived, and that they were bumping our reservation so the other group could have our table. 45 minutes later we got a table. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere from here on.
Nice place for dinner or for your banquet needs. I’ve always really liked Ciao Amici’s since it opened in Brighton. A few years back (in 2011), we had our wedding rehearsal dinner there. We had a large rehearsal dinner with about 90 guests, as we invited all the out of town people. There’s a nice, decently-sized banquet room in the basement. We also had a slide show going, as they have a projector that’s available for use. Everyone was pleased with how the dinner went.
Not only did the kind owner wonderfully accommodate my extremely large Italian family of 30 for my mom’s birthday, but his wait staff never left a water glass empty, had our food to us in a timely manner, and divided our checks perfectly without incident. This is not my first amazing experience here, and I guarantee you it won’t be my last. Amazing Italian food. Great staff. Stupendous atmosphere. Eating out doesn’t get much better than Ciao Amici in Brighton.
The food and everything is nice but the lady who runs the bar is a complete ass. She runs everyone over pushes customers out of her way. Tells the customer that your in her way. If your looking for good food and a terrible experience this Is place.
Delicious. A bit pricey but that’s okay, it’s a romantic atmosphere. I’d go just for the bread, wow! 🙂
We love it…. We have only been here once, but it was lovely. Don’t understand the low ratings? Ate outside…very romantic and relaxing…food was awesome. Can’t wait to go back.
Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Incredible tiramisu. Here are the issues – mediocre food and wine! The food is over salty and drenched in butter. As you know, this is how untalented chefs fake it till they (maybe) make it. The wine is grossly overpriced and far too young for drinking. Why can’t a place like this get enough wine cellared so they aren’t serving super young and overly tannic wines that simply are not ready for drinking!? Especially wines from Italy that always require extensive aging before they mature and become drinkable. So be aware, other than the wonderful tiramisu, this place is more show than real substance.
