It’s not just about the coneys. Yes, the coney dogs are awesome, but they’re not the only thing that Coney Joe’s does exceptionally well. Every chain restaurant that has sliders on the menu should take note of how Coney Joe’s does them – good ingredients and perfect preparation. Purists might take issue with the fact that they put dill slices on the Chicago dog instead of a pickle spear, but once you try the finished product there’s no way a sane person could argue with the result. …and I’m convinced that you can actually taste the love that goes into the chili.
