  I decided to eat at this location due to nostalgia, when I was a child Jim Peyton was a weatherman on WNEM5 and did drawings when advertising for Mr Hot Dog while doing weather reports. It’s the last Mr Hot Dog location that is still operating. I ordered two coney dogs and a large order of french fries. Even those the hot dogs were Koegel brand they didn’t have much flavor because they were left in water for too much time, they were water logged and bland. The coney sauce was quite tasty though. My french fries were tasty and my wife enjoyed her fish sandwich and fries. The next time I’m in Bay City and hungry I’m planning to stop in again. Hopefully the coney dogs will be better and I can give a better updated review.

  I don’t think the food was as bad as the other reviewers made it out to be, but the real deal breaker for me is that the restaurant is cash only. I don’t carry cash, and I won’t.

  Pass. At my previous job, my manager and I would take new hires to this place as a joke. Some people like this place because they’ve been going there since they were a child. I do not have that connection, thank goodness. The food is bad. The chili used for the chili dog tastes like it came out of a can and is very bland. The only plus is the prices are very low. I guess if you are scraping change from under the couch and need to eat, this will do, barely.
