Ordered the lentil stew- aiming to be healthy with a vegetarian dish. Undercooked lentils. Way too salty. If you like the flavor of salt and sugar, this would be a great spot. It was a disappointment- I should have ordered a standard burger. Hubby ordered the salmon with curry sauce. Way too much sugar. Disappointing. Should have stuck with the standard burger. We will not be returning here.
This place WAS great, in January of 2013, I ate there 3-4 times a week. Found Old City Hall while working in the area. Looked forward to trying again when I was sent back for work January 2014. Sadly disappointed. The wings then were amazing, many coworkers made meals of them as they were reasonably priced. Not anymore. half the wings which aren’t really wings for the same price, and are OK at best. Used to have beef skewers for appetizers which were amazing, no more. The chicken Cobb salad was absolutely the best I’ve had, is now replaced with a Southwest version, which I won’t be trying as the menu changes have beena terrible fall backwards. Truly loved this place last year, looking for their replacement this year.
Jake168. Met a friend for dinner there last night. Warm and cozy atmosphere–tried the Tomato Bisque-delicious! My friend had a Prime Rib sandwich which I already want to go back to try–it looked so good! I had the Seafood Pot Pie–it was full of Seafood–shrimp, crab and there was enough left for lunch the next day–it tasted incredible! I will for sure go back!

Haven’t eaten here but the martinis are wonderful.
Good Food, slow service. I have been to this restaurant twice, once in late October 2010 and once in mid-December, 2010, on a Friday and Saturday night, respectively. I loved the food both times – we had lettuce wraps, and pheasant salad the first time and a pork chop the second time. I was very pleased with the food, but it took a while to get waited on, and it took a while for drinks to arrive. The wine was pretty good, and the mixed drink, a Brandy Old Fashioned, was just ok. The servers were ok, just really slow.
Great promise but ended up disappointed. I was there on Saturday night. I thought the atmosphere was nice. The old brick walls with the paintings were attractive. We settled in, anticipating a wonderful meal.We both ordered the special. I believe it was called Twin Medallion Halibut, The sauce on he fish was very good, the vegetables were good but the portions were too small with far too much starch (rice). But the fish itself was barely adequate. I wasn’t sure how they cooked it, did they boil it? Bland mushy fish with a very good sauce. Next time I’m in Bay City, I’ll go elsewhere.Service was pretty good, but the length of time it took me to get a second drink keeps it from being excellent.
