1st and 2nd visit was great. 3rd visit the owner told me it was my 3rd visit and he knew this because I was on camera. Owner then proceeded to tell me that he knew all the police and spoke like an arrogant arab. The younger man (manager) was very arrogant and bragging about how he made some guy (customer) cry. I will say I am for the most part tolerant. I won’t be going back. The thing that sucks is I love their food, just can’t stand the owner and young guys arrogance. Too bad they take part in government gang stalking harassment.
I had my daughters engagement dinner at Al-Shallal and it was very nice. We booked everything with Jasmine the manager there and she wonderful very professional and explained all the costs to me and my daughter. She even gave use free sandwiches at the time we booked no other restaurants do that we booked parties at other Arabic restaurants before. We had 75 people and we paid $1600 with tax and tips. Very cheap and the food was excellent. Also we got the DJ for $200 and she was good. I didn’t deal with the owner much but he seemed friendly and told Jasmine to take care of us. Nirmeen I didn’t know what your talking about seem like you and your finance are very cheap and tried to rip them off by $400. How can you get a banquet, food, waitresses and tax for $1200 for 75 people??? I love this place and I will have all our parties there.
Terrible is the least to say about this garbage restaurant. I booked my engagement there June 12, 2015. The very disgusting, unprofessional owner told me the total out the door would be $1,200 for 75 people. During the engagement, service was terrible, horrible, not to mention the food was disgusting and cold. Service was ridiculous and very slow if they even came out from the back. My fiance and I didn’t even get food at all until one of our guests went yelling at the owner. Owner invited himself, kitchen staff and wait staff to the engagement without asking me or my fiance. At the end of the engagement, we were all tired from the party, I went to the owner to pay him the last of the money for the hall, he asked me for $400 saying they added more tables because more people came and that was a huge lie. He made some dumb Indian girl that works there collect the money from me and explain the extra charges but I was too tired to argue, I just wanted to shower and sleep. I called back a week later wanting to talk to the owner and that Indian girl about how I got overcharged and I have proof extra guests didn’t come, not even everybody invited came. Indian girl started lying saying my engagement was over 3 weeks ago, I said it was just last week, what the hell are you talking about? She said she understands but can’t give me a refund and owner wouldn’t talk to me. I got very ill with a breast infection, I couldn’t follow up anymore. I don’t recommend anyone eat there or book an event in the hall area. They are very disgusting people from the piece of shit owner to the wait staff. Very rude, very slow and unprofessional. Ruined my engagement and robbed me of $400. I hope they shut them down today before tomorrow. I hope someone robs him of all his unearned money. Stay away from this dumpster landfill.
No way. I live in the neighborhood and used to go here all the time. The guy that runs the place is always walking around, yelling at the the waitresses or talking about the customers after they leave. I stopped going because I couldn’t stand listening to him anymore. There are way too many good Middle Eastern restaurants around to have to suffer through that.
Food was just okay. Very salty but okay. There are several better middle eastern restaraunts close by that are better.
Love love love love love.. I absolutely loved their service and food. first time ever with middle eastern cuisine and they did not disappoint. our waitress was friendly and so was the owner, food was DELICIOUS. I def. found a new favorite place. 10 stars all the way
Yum. Nice friendly little authentic Middle eastern food. I have never been disappointed.
