Ok and can’t beat the value, but meats and cheese on my sandwich did not authentically Italian. Cannoli was disappointingly soggy. Cute store if you need Italian specialty foods and the raw meats looked good.
Was thinking of going somewhere else, but ALPOE has never steered me wrong. The sandwiches are PHENOMENAL. I took home two 32 oz Delmonico Steaks that were heavenly. Service is completely endearing, but leisurely. Go there, take your time, and leave happy and beloved.

My Favorite Italian Store. I love this place. Friendly staff and great imports. Their deli is amazing! They have like 10-15 types of salami and cheeses that can be sampled. They have some of the best cold cut subs I’ve ever had. Such a bargain too. I prefer them over Gonellas.
Sub Sandwich Best Buy. You can’t beat the quality of this sub sandwich for the price. The mini Italian is only small compared to the regular sub. Cheaper than making your own sandwich. They also have a great selection of Italian staples, charcuterie, fresh sausages, and breads. Try the house made arancini (italian stuffed rice balls) they’re wonderful.
Best Subs in the D, fo 50 plus years. OK folks you’ve never I mean never had a sub until you’ve eaten an Italian $ 5 loaded, with the freshest most flavorful meats and cheeses in and around the D. They line up and yes you take a number to get these daily belly buster subs, with a dozen folks working fast and furious behind that mega meat counter. A must try years ago my friend Eric says once you go , you’ll be hooked and yes I am at least twice per month for that fix and I’ve got dozens of friends and neighbor’s hooked just like you’ll be. Also pick up the wine and parsley sausage or the mici Romanian sausage and garlic butter all made daily in house. The breads, oils and olive selection Will blow you away. The service and smell when you step foot in the door will just say I’ve stepped back in time fifty years ago albeerpoe.blogspot.com
