Go to Arabian village for the food and the service. The is a true hole in the wall restaurant, which satisfies my soul every time I eat here and keeps my wallet happy. Waleed the hospitable owner, can guide you through the authentic Yemeni menu and customize your dining experience based on your spice and authenticity tolerance. The restaurant has two sections – general section in the front (mostly men dine here) and a family section (for those whose company includes women and would like additional privacy; but this is purely up to the discretion of the diners). The meal starts with a complimentary lamb soup, which is simple but kick starts your appetite with its aroma and flavor. Also complimentary is the sweet tea which you can pour yourself from near the cash register. The dishes I keep finding myself going back for are haneeth, mandi and fahsah (all roasted lamb dishes). The secret to the taste of these dishes here is the utensils they are prepared in. They impart a smoky flavor, kind of like a well seasoned cast iron skillet. My most recent discovery was the kibdah (lamb liver dish) which blew me away with its delicious aroma and subtle flavor (inspite of it being liver!). And don’t forget to try the Roshosh bread with black nigella seeds – that alone is worth the trip to this corner of Dearborn.

South Dearborn Yemen food. I’ve been eating many years at this yummy Yemen Restaurant which is located in South Dearborn known as the poorer section of the Arab community. The selection of fresh foods and juices are very extraordinary. You always kinda get that feeling that you’re being watched as not many people know of the Yemen community in South Dearborn. Waleed is the man our 2nd visit we started with a couple Maraq () is a Yemeni lamb broth soup is always served at the beginning of the meal. It comes with a slice of lemon to squeeze into the soup. A Salad big plate of Hummus topped with Lamb outstanding. She got Chicken Tawook cooked to perfection on a bed of Yemeni Rice fabulous always. Me ask Waleed last visit a guy was eating meal outta skillet, me want he brings me WOWED Yemeni Lamb Galaba with 2 Maloog so superb I lick the skillet clean using the perfect delicious bread. Always a great time Free Hot tea just help yourself. Just Love this hidden gem deep in South Dearborn a place you need to find. #arabianvillagerestaurant #lambgalaba #southdearborn #yemenifood albeerpoe.blogspot.com
