Former White Tower,, 83 Year Old Grill YUM. OK folks White Tower opened 30 place in and around Detroit in 1927 and this one still stands,,since 1974 it’s been Tamy’s plating the same great burgers on that old time grill where the flavor can’t be duplicated today. The hot corner of Michigan and Schafer was and still is my stomping grounds since a child. Monkey Ward’s on the corner then Crazy Clarence’s Wonderland Music still there and the this great spot. Old style Strong coffee and the untouched design from 80 years ago makes this place a must visit. We spent an hour talking with long customers and a crusty older lady pumping out burgers,fries and chili faster then today’s teens could move. The food all 5 stars,,,were going back for more really soon ENJOY albeerpoe.blogspot.com
