  Bad service. First of all I called to place a carry out and was in hold for 5+ minutes then I ordered a breakfast burrito with additional potatoes and cheese when were not in it. And that was the smallest burrito I’ve ever seen. I think I would have been more satisfied getting a breakfast burrito from Taco Bell.

  Tamales and salsa were so tasteless. The food is very tasteless. This is not authentic Mexican food, it is Texmex at best. I had the tamales, worst ever! The chunky beef taco was tough! The salsa was awful! No zing or spice at all. If you want bland food this is the place to go. We won’t be back. Drive the extra few miles to Southwest and get some real Mexican food.

  Exceptional Service,Food and Drinks. After ready the reviews I just had to visit since I’ve eaten at the Lincoln Park location many times with never a compliant. Let me start be telling up they have one amazing hostess who seats you smiles and makes you feel right at home,,, I wish I would have got her name,,,next time for sure.Seated with no wait during lunch hour and the place was packing with many happy conversing customers,, a really festive place I say and decorated to make you feel the spirit of happiness. The owners have done a marvelous job in the makeover of this long standing eating spot, Two dining area’s and a amazing bar area too, that will surely get me back since they have my favorite Mexican BEER on Tap Negra Modelo OH WOW it;s so refreshing.The food as always at the 2 other location always spot on with Queso Flameado, Salsa,Tamale,Chunky Beef Burritos Tacos and a Mexican Pizza,, Yes we tried a little of many item on the menu to be sure it was well worth out trip when were in the area again I gotta hit up that Bar area for a fun night soon.   Reasonably priced and good food. Service may be slow sometimes when restaurant is empty but it is good other times. Recommend it for trial and then you figure out.

  (Update) Poor Service Two Seperate Visits. I would not recommend visiting Tijuana’s due to us having experienced poor service twice in a row ( 2 seperate visits within a 2 month period). Our most recent visit the service was worse than the last. We thought we would give them another chance after the first visit which we thought the poor service may have been because they were busy. But our most recent visit they were not busy and our server was either new and completely untrained or just had no concern for her customers. We will not be returning to Tijuana’s and we will not recommend visiting Tijuana’s. When the subject comes up in discussions regarding restaurants with poor service, which this topic of discussion is frequent during lunch at work, I will definitely mention our two visits to Tijuana’s in which our server did not have a clue. A discussion between 7 people at lunch about a restaurant with poor service turns into those 7 people discussing with their family at dinner and then on to their friends and so on. The food was good but the poor service cannot be overlooked. There are many other restaurants in the area willing to keep their customers returning. Tijuana’s must be all set and not concerned with maintaining return customers.
