Nice and Romantic. Eat outside. Very romantic place for a nice Italian dinner. Good pastas, friendly waitstaff. Very very nice when eating outside at night under the stars and the lights. Wine is a pit overpriced, but this is a very solid option.
Really good food. Great little place, but not in the same category as Giovannis.Still worth your time and money!
Wonderful. The location is the only thing not quite right about this fine restaurant, which gets everything else right. The food is prepared extremely well, with a unique touch applied. This is not your garden variety Italian restaurant – worth the drive and the neighborhood. These are the kind of restaurants that should be supported by all Metro Detroiters.
The perfect misfit. When you’re driving to this place you stop and think to yourself – where the heck am I? Why am I here?!Then you find this place and you find yourself transported into a city with much better lighting and ambiance then the rest of it’s surroundings! I love this place – it’s romantic with two bars – one outside and one inside. Great food and a very professional wait staff.I almost always get the gnocci because it’s my FAVORITE! Their salads are wonderful as are all their mixed drinks and desserts…all around win – and not just compared to the rest of the Italian food found in Detroit.
Prime spot for good food and romance. Very romantic setting, good food, and good service. We had the calamari for an appetizer which was pretty good. We had the artichoke chicken pasta and the chicken parmesan for entrees and they were excellent. The caramel apple desert and the homemade ice cream were excellent as well. This is the place to go for a romantic dinner and to sit outside on there patio when the weather is nice.
My Mom suggested this place to me, and we went for dinner on a Thursday night. If the weather permits, sit outside; the patio is reminiscent of a restaurant you’d find in Beverly Hills, CA, not 6 Mile and Woodward. The food is good. I particularly liked the Caesar Salad that was made table side. It was a great dining experience all around. If you’re headed downtown for a show or event, this Italian restaurant would be the perfect place to grab dinner beforehand.
Awesome!!!. This was my first time at La Dolce Vita. I ordered the special (Parmesan-Encrusted Halibut served over Linguine and Aribata sauce). Needless to say, it was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
